Read, baby!

I found the best book today!

You want me to read it to you?

OK--here we go!

Now, this book is just plain tasty.

What?

Last weekend we made a trip downtown for the maritime festival. As usual I had to stop and smell the flowers with daddy.

After that, I saw real, live pirates! They weren't so scary after all.

Mommy, daddy, and I saw the Spirit of South Carolina
And some other pirate-y ships.

And then we went home (had to stop and check the street sign first though.)

baby yoga

Benjamin discovered the wonders of Baby Yoga at the library with mommy and Miss Kathleen. We both feel so refreshed!

it's my half birthday

and I want to play with Zoe,

chew my duck,

hang with my friends,

and reflect upon the months past and those ahead.

scenes from minnesota

Benjamin and Grandma Debbie hanging out.

Katie, Benjamin, Izzy, Ellie, and Max attempt a pose for the camera. Too bad we can't get all of them to look in the same direction.

Aunt Mindy is a nuzzler but it's ok as long as she let's me play monopoly.

What camera?

Uncle Jacob attempts to look like a pro.

I'll kiss you, but don't expect me to close my mouth.

Aunt Bev is a pretty funny lady. And she's not too bad at peek-a-boo either.

Alex is the funniest girl I have ever met in my entire life. Seriously. Funny.

I can't believe Grandpa Rick won't stop the paparazzi.

On the road again...

Swingin' at the zoo.

Gimme the beard.

Benjamin had a great time meeting relatives and making new friends. He was even a good sport when he developed another ear infection while on the trip.

mother's day

To help mommy out I fed myself, got ready for the pool

helped daddy with dinner,

and went to sleep...for awhile.

Friday was the Mother's Day luncheon at Chautauqua. A deafening sea of preschoolers excitedly sharing pizza and "happy mommy cake" with those of us lucky enough to come. Benjamin was a hit, as he always is. Ella came over to announce to her mother is her strident little tones that "That's baby Benjamin!" Indeed it is, and he is fascinated by your curls Miss Ella. Fortunately Ella has decided this just means the baby likes her and doesn't scream too loudly when he starts to pull. While I enjoyed my mommy cake, Benjamin was thrilled to get Green Beans in the Library. Which meant the books were in danger of getting green beans as well since he is convinced he can feed himself now.
To that end, we have finally invested in a high chair. Benjamin seems to enjoy his new vantage point and his new ability to treat the tray as a plate. As I get this blog up and running, pics will follow.
Benjamin is an outdoorsman.
